It started with a zit. At least I thought it was a zit. Last week a little red spot popped up on the underside of my right forearm, but as the week went on it got bigger. I thought. “What an odd zit.” By Friday it ended up growing to a quarter-sized red circle on my arm. Phillip guessed I had a spider bite. When I looked at it again Saturday morning it was gone. What a relief…that thing was ugly!
Later in the morning though I noticed something else, little red dots started appearing on that same arm, a few on my back and ankles. I asked Phillip if had any, thinking maybe we had dreaded bed bugs or the dogs picked up fleas. Nope. And by Sunday I had red lumpy itchy bumps all over my arm and other places. I gave in and decided to go to Urgent Care. The diagnosis? Nothing. Hives and we don’t know what is causing them so just take Benedryl. Super thanks…
On Monday I ran a fever and felt a little crappy. On Tuesday I itched. Now it is day five and I got dizzy at work (sitting at my desk) and threw up in the warehouse bathroom where everyone could hear me. Awesome. I am still covered in these gross, itchy, red hives and not a clue as to what would be causing them. I really hope they go away soon, because this is getting really old.
