Good Things Come

I remember it was in the middle of the winter a few years ago. My family and I were driving the final stretch to the cabin. The road was covered in snow and rapidly piling higher with every moment that passed. "I hope we have enough wood to have a fire. I'm not sure we do," my dad commented. Then randomly we began to notice the road was littered with long wooden stakes. They were haphazardly scattered across the road every couple of feet. They must have fallen out of someone's truck, but there were no longer tire tracks in the freshly fallen snow. We continued along to the cabin stopping every twenty feet or so to pick up our firewood. "Ask and you shall receive," my dad said confidently.

Last summer I really wanted a three-hole punch, but I never went out to buy one. One day I was walking in Northwest and Poof! there was a three-hole punch in the CLI give-away box. Sweet!

Today I was able to give my co-workers a good laugh. I've been really wanting one of those sponges with a handle that you can put soap in. However, I have been too cheap/lazy to go buy one. Today Jenny randomly walked by with one and asked if I wanted it. A brand new one all for me! I was so excited. It's not just a sponge on a stick...no, its a "Dishwand!" A strange thing to be found in Sem relations, but amazing nonetheless.

Good things come to those who wait! Yes, I know I can be easily amused. Is that such a bad thing? I enjoy the little things in life. Like my AWESOME DISHWAND!
